AVP Counterparty Risk Trading Product Control recruitment

The Counterparty Risk Trading Product Control Group supports the business in London, New York, and Asia. 

It hedges the counterparty credit risk arising from derivatives contracts across the bank. A model-driven reserve for defaults is calculated and held on the balance sheet. The traders seek to hedge out movements in the reserve by trading in a range of products including CDS, IRS, FX options, Commodities and more.

The role is a permanent hire at the AVP level and involves producing daily PLs and Balance Sheet for the business whilst maintaining a high standard of control.

Key interactions:

Key interactions are with traders on the CRT desk based in London, New York and Asia, the wider Product Control Group, Operations and Technology.

Major focus:

Validation and maintenance of the Balance Sheet

Preparation of daily PL for distribution to the front office

Analysis of daily PL using relevant risk and market parameters to form a full PL explain and investigation of any residuals on this explain.

Review of new deal PL as part of PL explain process.

Preparation of daily PL commentaries and aggregated weekly/ monthly commentaries.

Liaison with the trading desk, Operations, IT and various other areas of the bank on daily PL and other ad hoc queries.

Ad hoc project work such as process improvements, system upgrades and new system migrations.

Take charge of and provide the lead for CRT with respect to some project work
