AVP Credit IPV Product Control, London recruitment
An internationally recognised investment bank is looking to recruit an IPV controller to join a specialist Credit Valuations Product Control team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the valuations team taking responsibility for the independent valuation of the most exotic and high profile structured credit transactions in the financial statements of the bank, as well as the calculation of provisions reserves held against these positions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- In detail, control and manage the timely production of IPV reports covering all positions in the Bank. Supervise the liaison between the IPV team and the relevant risk managers and Front Office staff.
- Line manager, supervising all aspects of the direct report's work.
- Overall review of valuation of products and (at least) monthly validation of the FO's valuation. Calculation of reserves to cover valuation uncertainty.
- Development of alternative independent sources, with regard to either prices or model input parameters, for the valuation of these products.
- Validation of Client Valuations prior to issuance
- Continuous assessment development of control environment, procedures systems
- Ad hoc projects with regard to system implementation
- Ensure IPV procedures and methodologies are fully documented and meet SOX standards, including EUC documentation of any end-user systems employed in the IPV and the validation of any models used by these systems.
- Participation in project initiatives to improve the Product Control and IPV
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in product control looking to get further exposure within an IPV team or an experienced IPV professional looking to further their Credit knowledge. You should have a good understanding of products and risk principles from experience within product control and ideally will have some understanding of the IPV process
