AVP Equities Operations Change Team recruitment
Project works would range from process re-engineering, business requirements definition, project planning and management and business implementation. He/she must have good track records and experience in the Equities Derivatives Operations Change / Project management areas.
Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement - partnering with front office, technology, finance and operations to produce ‘AS IS’ process mapping in a complete end to end business view and following analysis, produce the ‘TO BE’ process flow
- Business analysis – identify and solve complex business problems or gaps and help to drive the necessary resulting change
- UAT management – defining testing approach, planning, coordinating preparation and managing execution Opportunity analysis - Using ‘AS IS’ flow, MIS and business analysis, identify both tactical and strategic opportunities to increase scale or manage risk within the business
- Presentation - Consolidate all above aspects into a concise business case with clear identification of issues, required actions, costs and benefits
- Execution - Working with core team from the business, agree defined action plan with owners and dates and track to delivery Understand the firm’s performance and the group’s strategy
Requirements:
- At least 2 – 5 years relevant Project or Change experience in the Investment Bank Equities Derivatives areas
- Track record in completing business analysis / project delivery assignments
- Knowledge of investment banking Operations processes, in particular on process improvement / re-engineering with strong emphasis on controls and risks management
- Familiarity with system implementation lifecycle particularly in the analysis and design phases, including; development of business requirements/functional specifications and testing strategy, test plan and test case development.
- Strong track record of execution and results, high level of drive to meet deadlines and targets.
- Familiar with Quality Centre (software) and its use for User Acceptance Testing. Proficient on MS PowerPoint and MS Excel. Good with MS Visio and MS Project. Understanding of Visual Basic and Macro will be added advantages.
- Preferably have exposure on SOPHIS or Equities Derivatives Middle Office system
- Graduate from top university with good honors degree or equivalent
- Desirable – PMP or PRINCE 2 qualification
