AVP – Equity Derivatives Flow and GAT Trading, Middle Office in Hong Kong recruitment

ROLE SUMMARY:
Manage a team that supports the Equity Derivatives Flow and GAT Trading Desks in the Asia Pacific region.

The role is primarily responsible for the following:
• Act as primary faceoff point to the Equity Derivatives desk in Asia Pacific;
• Initiate and drive projects on process enhancements and control improvements to maximize efficiencies and minimize operational risk;
• Support growth of the region and revenue through New Business;
• Liaise and collaborate with various Shared Services departments globally;
• Manage, allocate and plan team resource to ensure adequate support is available to meet existing and future demands of the business.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:
• Establish objectives for each team and individual staff. Monitor team output and evaluate staff performance, identify areas for improvement and provide frequent feedback and coaching. Encourage staff development via promoting in-house or self training. Create succession plans for all roles within the team. Facilitate cross-training across team members to address any knowledge gaps and manpower shortages;
• Ensure team provides a high level of service to the Internal and External Client;
• Identify, mitigate and eliminate potential operational risk, and escalate as necessary;
• Understand market regulations and ensuring that processes and systems are adapted to optimally support these requirements;
• Streamline current trade flow process and redesigning current infrastructure to be able to support the Asia business in an efficient and controlled manner;
• Develop and roll-out appropriate processes and controls to support New Business

• 5 - 7 years of IB Operations experience;
• Must be well versed in Equities Products;
• Experience in managing a team is highly preferred.
• Fluent in English. Ability to speak Cantonese / Mandarin would be an advantage but not mandatory.
