Business Analyst, CFO Change
The successful candidate will be a Global Business Analyst for the Structured Notes Programme, responsible for the front to back implementation of the SN infrastructures for London Branch Remediation, TOM across various entities. They will be involved in the full project lifecycle, including Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Testing, Training and go-live preparation activities.
Following the completion of the Structured Notes Programme the candidate will have the chance to join another initiative within CFO Change
Responsibilities:
- Gathering and documenting business requirements from Product Control and Financial Accounting to define processes to implement.
- This will include learning business processes and devising solutions to enhance controls and improve efficiencies
- Run business workshops as and when required.
- Produce and deliver functional requirements documents.
- Liaising with IT to validate business requirements documents.
- Create test plans aligned with business requirements / execute testing.
- Managing project phases independently
- Assisting with project controls and communications. E.g.: Regular updates and escalation of key issues and risks to the project manager; Management of project risks and issues to conclusion as agreed with project manager.
- Defining and documenting procedures and training, in conjunction with the business managers to support and control the new business processes and applications
- Liaising with IT on a regular basis.
- Understand the front to back systems architecture
- Determine a suitable go-live schedule, working with Product Controllers / FA and IT
Qualifications Experience:
- Business Analyst experience working with financial products
- Project management experience
- Experience in finance change in an investment bank
- Advanced IT knowledge: MS Access with VBA / PL-SQL
- Experience in data modelling and data manipulation preferably gained within a development environment
- Knowledge of investment banking Product Control and Financial Control.
- Professional accountancy qualification (preferred)
- Develop an understanding of the FO booking model, learning how products are represented and valued.
- Increase your BA and PM experience by participating in an high exposure program.
