About Our Client

Our Client is a Global Investment Bank.

Job Description

To improve and tighten financial control environment in the Bank.
To provide advisory support to Business Units on financial control and other risk management matters
To identify financial control weaknesses in the Bank and implement control measures to close the gaps.
To track all financial control issues and liaise with relevant parties to resolve the issues within the agreed timeframe.
Review results of periodic reconciliation exercise and escalate exception / non-compliance to senior management
To ensure the accurate preparation and timely submission of monthly operational risk meeting papers and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) reports.
Partner the Business Units on operational risk matters to ensure business growth is balanced with risk management and control. Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, periodic monitoring activities, timely identification and reporting of significant risks and losses and effectiveness of risk mitigation actions.
Drive and implement an effective risk management framework, and promote a strong risk management and a compliance culture.
To ensure adherence to the risk management framework in identifying, controlling, monitoring and reporting of risk.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have Financial control, reconciliation or internal audit experience
Strong with controls
More than 7 years work experience in financial control functions of FIs , internal audit of FIs or external audit from Big 4 firms.
Strong communication skill in liaising with relavant stakeholders.
Cross team collaboration and leadership experience skills - proactive engagement with the Business Head, Business Unit Heads and all other relevant parties responsible for financial control, operational risk and compliance.
Experience in monitoring and implementation of financial control measures and other risk management matters would be a plus.
