The Bank:
One of the world’s leading Investment Banks with a widespread global outreach is currently seeking an experienced and highly professional internal audit manager to join their Internal Audit function in London. The Internal Audit division within this bank has experienced significant growth over the past few years due to ever-evolving regulatory pressure, and they are still looking to expand their team. Within this bank, Internal Audit is an impactful and successful function with a track record for developing people’s knowledge and providing career progression, with internal mobility a key focus within this bank.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Auditor, you will be planning and executing the risk-based audit strategy for complex global markets products, whilst taking part in audit activities and leading small team. You will be required to use your analytical and leadership skills along with product expertise to carry out these activities, you will have to be comfortable with influencing management on key audit issues using strong judgement and critical thinking.
Requirements:
• Have a relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) from one of the Big 4 Accountancy firms
• At least one year of Internal Audit experience in an Investment Bank
• Strong knowledge of Global Market Sales Trading products (rates, FX, commodities, fixed income etc..), with specialist commodities knowledge being an advantage
• A strong understanding of trade risk, processing, settlement and valuation
• Be able to communicate effectively and simultaneously with individuals across trading, risk, finance, compliance and operations divisions
• Ability to interact with senior management persuasively and effectively
• Be eager to become a Subject Matter Expert in Global Markets products
• Strong communication (both written and verbal) and analytical skills
• Fluency in English is mandatory, with a second language being an advantage
• Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship is required
