IT Asset Management (ITAM) is a framework and set of processes that allows organizations to track and manage the financial, physical, licensing and contractual aspects of IT assets through their life cycle. The goal of ITAM is to enable a visible, dependable account of IT asset costs and risks, providing executive support for IT strategy, architecture, funding and sourcing decisions.
Moody's is seeking to hire a AVP - IT Asset Management to help in the implementation of an enterprise ITAM strategy.

Responsibilities

Key Objectives:
As part of the Delivery Assurance organization within MIT, this position is responsible for developing and implementing processes that will allow Moody's to track and manage its IT assets (Software Hardware).
The successful candidate will work closely with his/her counterpart in Procurement (VP ? IT Asset Management) to and assist with the implementation of the IT Asset Management initiative.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Building and maintaining an accurate inventory of all IT Assets used within MIT.
- Creating and enforcing process and procedures to ensure all IT asset requests are approved and tie back to the master inventory prior to request fulfillment.
- Being the single point of contact for MIT asset related requests
- Engaging with Enterprise Architecture, Technology Operations to understand the near term / long term IT roadmap and its impact on IT assets from a buy, maintain, retire perspective.
- Engaging with Procurement in implementing the ITAM strategy (including helping with the selection and implementation of an ITAM tool) and helping with the formulation of policies, procedures and control points
- Creating dashboards and reports for Stakeholders and provide visibility on key ITAM statistics Licenses, maintenance costs, etc.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, business or related field
- 8 or more years of broad technology and Asset Management/Service Management experience
- 4 or more years of experience managing partner and vendor relationships to achieve business outcomes
- Experience in a global enterprise is a plus

Experience and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of ITAM processes, SW HW licensing models and general asset lifecycle events
- Experience in change management, software hardware audits
- Understanding of service management, specifically Asset Management industry trends, products and services
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to enhance data analysis and reporting is a key competency
