This is a challenging position on the Technology Operations team requiring a wide array of skills in core IT infrastructure. The candidate must be very motivated and willing to take on challenges, learn new concepts and be willing to multi-task to succeed.
The Technology Operations team is responsible for the network, voice, servers, storage, workstations, directory services, messaging, and software distribution systems. The job requires a very good understanding of the underlying platform infrastructure. The team is responsible for setting standards for HW and core Operating software for all the aforementioned environments. This includes HW standards for network, voice systems, servers, storage and workstations, standards for operating systems, firmware, application versions, etc. Besides selecting the appropriate standards, the team is responsible for designing the infrastructure and implementation and creation of SOPs in coordination with the operations teams. The team also has ongoing responsibility to oversee the operations teams and ensure that SOPs are followed, problems identified and resolved in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
-Responsible for overseeing, managing and mentoring a team of engineers responsible for the following:
-Oversee and monitor the telecom operations team and ensure the infrastructure is always in a high availability state
-Responsible for creating SOPs and reporting for operations teams and ensure adherence to the same
-Support the Global Customer Service Center in various locations using knowledge of Cisco's UCCE (Unified Contact Center Enterprise) solution

Technical Skills
-Experience in supporting Cisco Communications Manager, Unity Connection voicemail system and Unified Contact Center Enterprise in a production environment
-Experience working with Cisco Voice Gateways, Phones ( desk, soft phone, conference phones) dial plans, route filters and Trunks
-Experience supporting RTP, H323, MGCP and Cisco SCCP (Skinny) /SCCPS (Secure Skinny) Protocols
-Experience with Ethernet Switching technologies and related IEEE standards (i.e. 802.1d, 802.1q, 802.3ad, 802.1x, 802.11a/b/g, etc).
- Experience with common cabling plant standards and various LAN/WAN interface technologies (T1, E1, T3).
-Experience with common voice technologies and standards (BRI, PRI, T1-CAS,).
Understanding of networking fundamentals
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to learn quickly and draw meaningful conclusions from independent research
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
Ability to understand and analyze client requirements and provide appropriate solutions

Qualifications
-Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Equivalent area of study
-Industry Certification in relevant area is a plus
-Minimum 8 years experience in IT industry in relevant area
