One of the world’s largest investment banks is looking to add two experienced and highly specialised risk auditors to their internal audit function in London. With nearly $2trillion worth of assets, this bank is offers a wide range of services, including investment banking, corporate banking, retail banking and wealth management as well as treasury and securities services, serving a wide client base.

This bank’s internal audit function is very well respected within the company, with 100 experienced auditors across the globe with ability to add value to the organisation beyond audit.

The Role:

The successful candidates will join this bank’s Model Risk Audit team, which is in place to assess the controls environment across the firm’s risk organisation. You will be acting as an expert advisor to the bank on their model implementation and risk appetite.

This role supports VPs who work closely with the Head of Audit. You will sit with heads of model risk and front office quants to understand the design and implementation of models across the firm, and you will be required to provide recommendations to the model methodology. You will lead all aspects of the audit, including planning, testing, evaluation, report writing and presenting, as well as risk assessment. You will gain exposure to a number of areas within the bank, including risk management and front office.

The Requirements:

• Masters Degree or PhD in a financial / scientific / mathematical discipline
• At least 5-7 years of investment banking experience with exposure to model risk management, valuations and quantitative finance
• Experience in dealing with multiple models (credit/market)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• An ability to liaise and build relationships with wider areas of the business (risk management, front office etc)
