AVP – Operations Analyst recruitment
This position will play a key role in the development of the Riyadh office. The role will report functionally to the London Emerging Markets operations head and it’s envisaged they will report locally into the CEO of Saudi Arabia. The Riyadh based team will be a small unit of experienced Investment professionals with plans in place to grow the headcount over the course of the next year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join in the early stages of development of the Riyadh offices, where your contribution will be highly visible to both the MENA and EMEA Senior Management teams.
Its expected that you will be a practical, hands on type of person and due to the size of team and business, you will be responsible for the delivery of all day to day Operations related responsibilities. Over the medium to long term its expected that you will be able to recruit a small team, at which point your role will also evolve to one which also manages people and oversees the function. You should be a flexible individual who is happy to take on additional responsibilities that may not traditionally fall under an Operations Manager remit.
Responsibilities
- Finalise the set up of the local operations function in conjunction with the regional head office
- Ongoing administration and management of the local operations function
- Manage the production of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end reports for the Bank and the Regulators
- Take accountability and responsibility for core Operations functions which will include:
- Reconciliations
- Management Reporting
- Corporate Actions
- Funding
- Exchange and Regulator Communications
- Product enhancement and development
- Develop business plan(s) for the region.
- Evaluate current methods and strategies and implement changes and improvements.
- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in other parts of the business and in other geographies.
- Act as the primary local Operations liaison and maintain relationships with external organizations i.e. local suppliers, local regulators, auditors and advisors
- Work in conjunction with the Compliance Officer to ensure ongoing compliance to regulatory reporting requirements
Requirements
- This is a mandatory role requirement as per CMA stipulations. The CMA will review the Operations Manager qualifications and experience. As a consequence we are looking for someone who has:
- A graduate degree in a business related subject.
- Considerable banking experience gained within a regulated financial institution in a global investment bank.
- Experience of working in an Operations function with significant Product control experience.
- Previous experience of working within Saudi Arabia is essential.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is essential (Verbal and Written Communication Skills)
- Must be committed, adaptable, flexible and hard working.
