GCSO supports both the front office teams within the Corporate Banking division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch and supports the treasury, commercial credit and technical service needs of Global Corporate Bank and Global Commercial Bank clients. The GCSO division provides Cash Management products and services to a global client base. The GCSO division assists our Clients to manage their Treasuries and Cash levels efficiently.
GCSO is split into Fulfillment Servicing, Documentation and Operations businesses.
Fulfillment and Servicing Global Client Fulfillment Servicing is responsible for the implementation and servicing of all treasury, credit and depository solutions primarily for the Global Commercial and Corporate Bank clients. Our team works directly with clients and collaborates with business partners to provide a seamless world class fulfillment and service experience.
Documentation is responsible for on boarding of new clients to ensure that Bank of America Merrill Lynch meets both the regulatory and internal AML/KYC requirements. The Documentation Team also provides guidance and training to other members in EMEA Fulfillment and Sales regarding legal documentation, AML requirements and client requests.
Operations The Operations division within GCSO, facilitates 36 incoming and outgoing high-value low-value, cross-border and multicurrency payments utilizing a number of internally developed and vendor supported payment systems and infrastructure. Operations teams are located in the Americas (U.S., Canada and LATAM), Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia.
Role description:
Analyzes actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a business system to obtain quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques. Works with senior management and other team members to implement enhancements to reporting and analysis packages for senior management forums and committees plus the implementation of improved reporting and data mining tools and metrics. Responsible for developing quantitative/analytic models and applications in support of the firm's risk management effort. This role focuses on the development of operations/data management policies, strategies and operational guidelines for the organization's various financial products as they relate to the analysis, tracking, and reporting of various risk metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Create recurring and ad hoc reporting on fulfillment service business performance
- Provide analysis on the causes of performance gaps or changes
- Design, build and maintain complex strategic and tactical volume forecasting models including multiple levels of LOBs, products teams using industry standard formulas tools coupled with business intelligence.
- Design, build and maintain predictive capacity models to forecast required FTE based on volume forecasts, handle-times, shrinkage assumptions and compare to current team size to assess current and future capacity utilization.
- Proactively integrate update predictive assumptions across the business based on upcoming internal and external change initiatives and industry/market conditions.
- Perform ad hoc data analytics and scenario analysis for volume and capacity problem solving and decision support
- Continually enhance models, processes and logic to improve metric accuracy and adapt to the changing business environment
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Strong business acumen
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills, to identify root causes through data
- Excel expertise (macros, pivots, etc)
- Ability to work with databases to extract/integrate data using Access/SQL
- Experience designing and building forecasting and/or capacity planning models
- Ability to effectively develop and communicate an “executive level message” leveraging relevant business data
- Highly organized with ability to manage deliverables on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
