AVP Rates IPV Specialist recruitment
Our client, a leading banking and financial services company, currently seeks an AVP Rates IPV Specialist to be based in London
The AVP Rates IPV Specialist will be part of the Finance division and will be responsible for:
-Running month end independent price verification process to ensure positions are marked correctly.
-Implementation of valuation / pricing adjustment and reserve methodologies.
-Exposure to the full range of products within rates
-Analysis of model and calibration performance.
-Interaction with the Methodology group within the wider vasluations team to ensure that the most appropriate valuation models are used.
-Significant interaction with the Front Office discussing the results of the month end processes.
As such, the successful AVP Rates IPV Specialist will have the following skills and experience:
-A strong understanding of the valuation of Rates products
-Good analytical and modelling skills to support a valuation judgement
-Confidence to constructively engage traders on valuation control results and methods
-Strong mathematical skills quantitative skills (preferred)
-Knowledge of Excel (i.e. VBA, pivots, macros, etc)
-Experience of using market data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters…) preferred
-Able to demonstrate an Interest in increasing product knowledge
