Job Summary:
Responsible for analyzing and monitoring the daily and monthly results of Fixed Income. Coordinates the annual budget and periodic forecast exercises.
Responsibilities:
§ Responsible for analyzing and monitoring the daily and monthly results of the Fixed Income business for the US territory, Canada, Brazil and Argentina. In addition, serve as the primary point of contact with the business for management reporting matters (expenses, allocation keys, revenues, synthesis).
§ Review daily revenue flash for accuracy and reconcile the YTD result with London at month-end
§ Perform maintenance and reconciliation of headcount between systems (GRH Monde, SMART, Vinci, Mars,...)
§ Produce weekly / monthly / year-to-date client contribution reports by desk, team, sales, and top clients
§ Follow, challenge and control all function allocation keys to Fixed Income
§ Prepare / write monthly revenue / performance commentary for Fixed Income to be included in the territory management reports
§ Serve as liaison between local business heads and their counterparts in London and Paris
§ Prepare ad-hoc analyses requested by geographical head of métier and Performance Management teams in London and Paris
§ Support the annual budget and periodic forecast processes by:
§ Working closely with local Fixed Income heads and Head Office Management Accounting teams to collect and analyze all budget data
§ Review templates for expenses and allocation keys to be uploaded into Vinci Expense reporting tool by the production staff in the Financial Reporting Group
§ Review each budget / forecast together with the relevant business heads to ensure accuracy prior to submission to Head-Office
§ Manage and participate in the development of tools to accomplish the above departmental responsibilities. Work with various teams in FT on projects that have an impact on the team's functions and systems in such areas as:
§ Definition of project scope, business requirements, and gap assessment
§ User acceptance testing
§ Training of users
§ Trouble-shooting after deployment
§ Develop automated solutions for all processes within the function and in conjunction with IT development teams
§ Work with the Reporting Team
Skills
§ Bachelors level degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and/or a minimum 2-3 years of experience in at least several of the following corporate and /or line of business disciplines preferably within a global financial services company: financial accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, treasury, audit (internal / external), compliance and risk management positions
§ In-depth knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, both local (US) and other (French/IFRS), and an appreciation of US regulatory and tax rules and regulations
§ Broad business perspective, strong interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills
§ Ability to work collaboratively with line executives and territory function heads; strong planning and organizational skills
