Payments and Cash Management is part of Global Transaction Banking – one of the four product groups in HSBC. It offers solutions designed to integrate with our clients' business systems, delivered via global Internet banking and host-to-host delivery channels (HSBCnet and HSBC Connect respectively). Principal AccountabilitiesReporting to the Head of Payments Cash Management CMB Sales incumbent will directly develop and manage regional and domestic payment and cash management opportunities across a number of industry sectors for Corporate clients in the Commercial Banking customer group with expectations to expand the portfolio profitably through effective industry analysis, account planning, and execution of client-focused and product sales strategies.
- Achieve agreed revenue and product targets
- Gain market share by proactively targeting and winning business from new clients
- Respond to, and satisfy, customer needs in a timely and professional manner
- Promote HSBC's PCM capabilities to improve awareness of the PCM business and to generate sales opportunities
- Proactively participate in the product development cycle by maintaining an in-depth awareness of current trends and developments in the cash management marketplace and regular dialogue with corporate treasurers and industry specialists, and communicate market developments on an ongoing basis to PCM Product.
- Adhere to all procedures covering the handover from Sales to Implementation, whilst retaining overall responsibility for the deal during that phase
- Ensure service quality and profitability meet customer and bank expectations. Ensure accurate MIS reports are delivered in a timely manner.
Skills/Attributes
- A degree holder with at least 3 to 5 years of specialist complex / key account sales and industry experience
- Demonstrated expertise in cash and liquidity management product sales or a related working capital product discipline
- A track record of cultivating strong team morale and building strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Good presentation skills; able to work independently under pressure of competing deadlines
