AVP – Software Engineer recruitment
Responsibilities
This is an opportunity for an individual with a strong software development background to join Moody's Research Labs to work on a variety of projects including projects related to structured finance, security valuations and others.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of quantitative modeling software applications. He or she will work closely with product managers and the research and development teams to create specifications and develop software. Responsibilities will include assisting in the maintenance and enhancement of existing financial models and working on the implementation of new models and their applications.
Qualifications
This position requires a Master's degree in computer science (or a related field) and 9+ years of professional hands on experience developing software. We are looking for exceptional candidates with demonstrated problem solving skills and a track record of outstanding accomplishments. The candidate must be thorough, detail-oriented, and possess good communication skills. Proficiency in C++, experience in production-quality software engineering, and a basic understanding of numerical analysis are required. The candidate should furthermore be familiar with Microsoft's Component Object Model (COM), C#.NET, Active Server Pages.NET (ASP.NET), and database programming (SQL). User interface design experience and knowledge of XML and distributed computing are a definite plus.
