AVP Sourcing Specialist recruitment

ROLE SUMMARY :

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Manager of Professional and Business Services, Asia Pacific in management of all sourcing and commercial aspects of their assigned categories, this includes the creation and oversight of strategic category plans, which are to be developed and managed in conjunction with key functional stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include the negotiation and implementation of major contracts, effective cost management programs and the establishment of successful relationships with key internal business partners and suppliers on an Asia Pacific Regional or country basis.

THE ROLE INVOLVES :

1. Manage assigned categories of spend at Asia Pacific regional and country level.
2. Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal business partners. Establish regular communications with them, to ensure agreement and adoption of category strategies as well as on-going review of activities undertaken for their area.
3. Represent the regional Supply Management interests of Credit Suisse and facilitate an accurate understanding of local market conditions
4. Identify major/preferred suppliers for the region or local market for all assigned categories
5. Manage relationships with regional suppliers within their categories of spend and act as the primary external face of Credit Suisse in the regional supplier market
6. Work alongside strategic sourcing to define and implement strategic plans for each assigned category, with due consideration for markets and opportunities, the operational requirements of CS, and available appropriate sourcing tools.
7. Ensure global/multi-regional deals are appropriate to their local market and enhance strategic sourcing deals within local markets where possible
8. Develop aggressive cost containment and reduction goals for each category within CS and produce ongoing performance reporting.
9. Continually look for (cost) efficiency opportunities through accurate forecasting
10. Uncover and mitigate reputational, operational, legal compliance and regulatory risks

12. Conduct periodic category surveys for benchmark comparisons along multiple criteria.
13. Consolidate sources and develop alternative sources ensuring uninterrupted supply of goods or services, delivered in a cost effective and quality manner.
14. Closely monitor market trends and supply/demand factors, technology advancements, legal regulations and communications to help in the decision making process to meet the strategic goals of the organization.
15. Accurate and continuous collection and reporting of projects managed, contracts concluded and their associated expenditure and financial impacts.

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS :

1. Fluent in English.
2. A team player possessing great drive and excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

4. Skilled in people relationships; confident, firm, empowering and positive in his/her attitude toward people.

6. Of personal stature and reputation to ensure ready acceptance within the company and to create a favorable representation of the company to outsiders.

The candidate should ideally have:

1. Degree level qualification. Certified membership of the Institute of Supply Management (USA), the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (UK), or other recognized national / international Procurement institution.
2. Experience in Sourcing
3. Strong Analitical Skills.
4. Strong negotiation and contracting skills.
5. Experience of implementing and operating business-to-business e-commerce solutions. Operational knowledge of eSourcing would be a significant plus.
6. A strategic focus and an in-depth understanding of the role he/she plays in creating relationships with suppliers, which are mutually acceptable, which extract optimum supply value and minimize costs.
