AVP- Structured Credit Product Control recruitment

This team sits in the Portfolio Business Group with a focus on the Bank's structured products.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of the Daily PL, daily approval and provision of detailed PL commentary, reconciliation of the Balance sheet and understanding of the Desks strategies and market risk
Ensure the appropriate level of control of controls and oversight over the business and develop these accordingly as when the business expands
Help develop the Team and ensure they understand the Business and remain both challenged and motivated as well as aware of all issues, new deals.
Build successful relationship with the Front office desk and ensure the PL is reported accurately and in a timely manner. This will include all existing and new business that the desks may want to trade.
Production of weekly and monthly MIS reporting to senior management
Production of various analysis and ad-hoc reporting requested by Business and other finance groups
Manage process of introducing new products and structures to be traded by Business, which involves working with relevant parties to identify and resolve potential system, valuation, accounting, risk, regulatory etc issues. Ensure a smooth and rigorous process to support the new products, with necessary controls in place.
Manage projects supporting geographical expansion, global strategic migration and other ad-hoc projects. Ensure the Product control team requirements are met, smooth UAT process and timely delivery of project deliverables. Require working collaboratively with other infrastructure groups.

Derivatives knowledge
Good influencing and at negotiation skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrates confidence and credibility when dealing with Front office, senior management and outside regulators /internal audit
Displays integrity, initiative and commitment through interactions with colleagues and clients
Excellent Excel skills with VBA highly preferred
