AVP to VP – Capital Management – Risk/Regulatory recruitment

A new team has been set up to monitor and manage capital across the whole bank.  The team works closely with the Regulatory Reporting, Compliance and Counterparty Credit Risk teams. The head of the team has been hired and they are now looking to build out the team at the VP and Director levels.
 
This particular role encompasses understanding the capital composition required to support the international entities and an assessment in relation to the risks.  The role entails working in partnership with the regulatory reporting, compliance, counterparty and capital as a subject matter expert.
 
Responsibilities will include:
Identifying concentrations and risks in counterparty portfolio, implementation of new capital policy as relates to international entities, partnering closely with the regulatory reporting teams globally,  understanding the capital composition in the legal entities and associated material risks,  understanding the relevant regulatory requirements for the legal entities, provide guidance and direction to local colleagues in assembling regulator reports to ensure global consistency, delivery of high quality to analysis with recommendations to senior management.
 
Candidates will have strong Basel 2 or 3 experience, prior experience in capital management/reporting in a complex financial institution and an understanding of credit risk. n Candidates who have worked in a role facing off to regulators and/or analysing and monitoring regulatory and economic capital for trading business's will also be considered.
