Responsibilities
- Review and approve trade transactions (Export, Import, Collection, Guarantee and Standby Credits) including loan financing within delegated limits and ensure adherence to audit, compliance, local and US Regulations
- Review Banker's Guarantee and Standby LC format to ensure compliance with UCP600, ISP98 and URDG758 and all applicable laws
- Write procedures for new products, processes and client's special requirements
- Review, update and maintain existing procedures and policies
- Handle internal and external queries on outstanding issues and give advice/solutions
- Prepare monthly reports on volume trend and staff capacity
- Prepare scorecards for clients
- Liaise with the relevant internal parties to negotiate and quote financing rates to clients
- Conduct seminar and workshop to clients on trade products
- Support business partners in joint client's call, new business initiative and RFP
- Lead and champion projects to increase operational efficiency
- Quarterly forecast and budget planning for costs and expenses
- Develop spreadsheets with macros to simplify processes
- Develop training plans for staff to enhance their personal development and skill sets
- Develop innovative and customized solutions to financing and trade issues
Requirements
- Degree holder in Banking/Finance/Business
- Minimum five years' working experience in Trade/Structured Finance and Supply Chain Financing
- Proven leadership in managing a team
- Experience in Structured Trade Finance/Loan/Supply Chain products including strong knowledge of the commodities market.
- Experience in project management and in leading, managing and supervising a team of more than 5 persons
- Experience in management/client reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Able to work independently with a strong sense of initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Good business acumen, tactful and pleasant demeanor
- Ability to lead and steer teams to demonstrate the bank's core values
- Strong team player with good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, including ability to communicate at senior levels
- High adaptability to a dynamic changing environment
- Ability to create client-focused work environment and handles client-facing activities
- Strong analytical skills to assimilate, understand and assess difficult situations
- Advanced knowledge in IT including Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Access
- Knowledge and application of Six Sigma tools to reduce costs, drive revenue and add value to the customer
