Our client is a well-established International Corporate Investment Bank with a strong business focus in Asia and the Emerging Markets. As part of continued growth in Hong Kong, an outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Finance Manager to support a range of investment banking and global markets businesses.
Reporting to the Divisional Head in Business Finance, you will lead a small business finance team supporting IBD, Alternative Investment and Equities businesses and focusing on performance management, budget, forecast, business planning, revenue analysis, cost control, balance sheet, RWA analysis. You will work closely with the business leaders on reviewing new deals booking models, advising on accounting treatment, providing support on ad-hoc requests, assisting on business initiatives and projects. In addition, you will provide strategic and tactical planning support ensuring targets are set in realistic and achievable plans and also to track performance against budget and actual. Acting as a deputy to the Divisional Leader, you will provide backup support on other business finance teams supporting the Rates, Credit, FX businesses.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A university degree and ideally a professional accounting qualification
- Around 8 to 10 years relevant experience in Performance Management, Product Control, Management Accounting or Financial Analysis gained from Financial Services sector
- Wide knowledge of IBD (Corporate Finance, ECM / MA), Alternative Investments (Distressed Debt, NPL, Private Equity) and general understanding of other financial markets products
- Confidence and competency in handling senior business managers
- Strong business mind-set together with analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
