AVP-VP Commodities Compliance Advisory- 60-90K recruitment
Commodities Advisory Compliance team, focusing on interpreting and implementing the response to ensure compliance with upcoming regulatory change in both the US and Europe. The role would also encompass advising the front office around FSA and exchange regulation and undertaking market monitoring and surveillance, primarily for the Commodities business.
Main Duties
- Interpreting upcoming regulation in both the US and Europe affecting the Futures, Commodity and Ecommerce business areas. Helping to ensure the firm implements policies and procedures to remain compliant.
- Advisory compliance support for the Commodities answering queries, interpreting legislation. Close interaction with Front Office sales and trading.
- Analysis and reconciliation of monitoring reports, liaising with front office to establish root cause for exception. Identifying false positive criteria and eliminating false positives from exception reports
- Review and development of current internal policies and procedures covering the Futures and Commodities businesses.
- Training front office sales and trading, when required, on policy updates. General compliance training as and when required.
- Assisting in preparing responses to Regulatory/Exchange requests.
Person Requirements
- Experience Required:
- Experience of Commodities markets
- Knowledge of Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID,
- Compliance experience, ideally in an investment bank
- Experience of developing policy, assessing risks, implementing procedures, training, monitoring and review
Skills / Aptitude:
- Good communication skills, able to interact and work closely with senior trading and sales staff

- Strong product knowledge
- Able to quickly understand and interchange with a variety of other product areas
