AVP & VP/Sr VP Development Manager Java – Client and Delivery focussed, Global Leading team – Tier 1 European IB – London recruitment
The role is perfect for someone who has worked in a delivery focussed environment and used to dealing client requests from a variety of clients; offshore and from the UK.
The ideal candidate will be a hardcore technician with over 12 years’ experience in Java and running teams. Candidates should have experience working with PMs and the pragmatic skills to explain why they can’t have what they are requesting, but to suggest a viable alternative.
The role will have about a 20% focus development, so is not for an architect. Financial markets knowledge is key, so candidates should have experience in a financial firm.
Candidates should also have experience in UNIX/Linux development, SQL (and Oracle or Sybase), a strong Java background including multi-threading applications.
