Our client is a leading regional bank and they are looking to bring on board an AVP/VP to lead and manage the Securities and Operations department within Group Operations.
• Local Equities Settlement knowledge and hands-on experience with SGX TSM/PSMS clearing system. Knowledge of settlement processing for SRS, CPF and 3rd Party Financing.
• Foreign Equities Settlement knowledge, specifically US, HK and Malaysia markets. Experience in stock reconciliation between Custodian and foreign broker dealers.
• To manage resources to ensure timely and error free processing of securities trades within customer’s requirements without compromising controls.
• To handle and resolve operational issues arising from exception handling or errors.
• MIS or defect reporting and unit costing reporting.
• Ensure day to day processing is achieved within SLAs and KPIs.
• To provide independent risk oversight.
• To assist business stakeholders on product, system and marketing solution from an operational perspective.
• To engage support and/or inter-divisional stakeholders on cross divisional or divisional issues.
• Ensure regulations, policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Initiate continuous improvements across all key areas of operations management, people, processes systems etc.
• Build, maintain and enhance the service oriented culture and excellence of the department.
The ideal candidate should be degree qualified with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience and experience in managing a team of 3-5 staff or more. Exposure in Securities Operations, specifically in post trade confirmation and settlements. Project management experience. At least a project initiative in role of sponsor, project manager or key team member. Have experience in six sigma. Certification as a green belt or black belt has an absolute advantage.
