AVP/VP – APAC KYC Quality Reviewer, Treasury Services

Key Responsibilities
The KYC Quality Reviewer is accountable for the review and quality of KYC records prepared by KYC Analyst prior to submission to Sales for their review and approval and subsequently upon submission by Sales to Compliance. Specific duties include:
- Review and approve all KYC records prepared by KYC-Analyst prior to the submission to Sales for their review and approval.
- Review and approve all KYC records that have been submitted by Sales and are awaiting Compliance review.
- Ensuring underlying reference data and linkages are correctly recorded (e.g. GES, GEM, Cognos, CIS, CA, CC ..)
- Ensuring KYC-Analysts have best practice and tools to obtain required KYC information.
- Ensuring KYC-Analysts have reviewed and document KYC information on the client.
- Ensuring KYC-Analysts have documented all client data, financials products and services to used by the client on the KYC database.
- Ensure KYC-Analysts have reviewed databases and Internet for any adverse media coverage.
- Ensuring KYC-Analysts have obtained the Patriot Act information.
- Following through to ensure all accounts and products closed for KNR situations.
- Following up/obtaining approval of KYC from Sales Officer, Compliance and Sales Manager.
- Obtaining the necessary approvals for any re-documented KYC's.
- Proving feedback to the KYC Support Manager on quality and accuracy of KYC-Analyst' KYC record - and provide training for continuous improvement as appropriate.
- Tracking and analyzing Compliance and Sales rejects to determine root causes, improvements - and reduce/eliminate re-occurrence.
- Providing feedback on Compliance rejects to KYC-Analyst and Sales for quality improvements.
- Acting as backup to the KYC Support Manager's during absence.
- Represent the TS Asia KYC Support Team as required.
- Ensure compliance to KYC policies, applying corrections to address and eliminate Audit comments.
- Manage SOP for the KYC-Analyst and KYC Quality Reviewer.
- Handle other KYC tasks as may be assigned where requirement arises.
Skills
- Strong audit and/or compliance discipline and attitude; exposure or concept of KYC processes is nice to have but not a must
- Systematic, process driven and possessing attention to detail in ensuring all the necessary controls and checks are in place and data quality is high
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment based on facts and information presented
- An energetic and creative personality with a mindset for seeking continuous improvement; ability to convert findings into trainings for the KYC team to ensure mistakes are not repeated
- A quick learner, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to bridge between internal parties in the KYC, Compliance and Sales teams
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
