AVP/VP Front Office High Frequency Core Java Developer with the FICC business at leading European Investment Bank
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Core Java expert to join the technology team at a highly regarded high frequency development team with a top tier European investment bank in London.
This is a broad role encompassing a complex front end trading system, performance improvement optimisation, market connectors, and analysis tools. The individual in this role will be a part of a small, dynamic trading group and will work directly with traders to design, build, and test cutting-edge low latency trading systems. This individual will be required to improve, and redesign low latency trading systems, alongside optimizing the platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world leading electronic trading group, and so requires that the candidate be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. There will be leadership opportunities on several Greenfield projects.
Technical skills:
- Core java and other programmer language a plus
- Strong object-orientated application design and architecture skills
- Multithreading Concurrency
- Messaging experience
- Experience of low latency/high throughput systems is a necessity
- Knowledge of Python or Perl and shell scripts is a plus
- Previous experience from the financial industry is required
This is a permanent position.
Required: Individual with Java, Core Java, J2EE, server side experience in algorithmic Trading, electronic Trading, Trading Technology, Low-latency Trading, or High Performance Computing, as a Software Engineer, developer, or Project Manager. Additional experience in Object-Oriented Design, STL, BOOST, Standard Template Libraries, multi-threading, Windows, Linux, Scrum, Agile, Unix, Server Side J2SE components, Multithreading Concurrency, low latency, Machine Learning, High Performance Computing, and High-Frequency trading will be highly valued.
