AVP/VP, Mainframe System Programming Manager, Technology & Operations recruitment
The Technology and Operations team designs, develops and maintains computer application systems to support banking operations and provide innovative IT solutions, while harnessing new technologies to meet corporate objectives. In addition, we centralise, standardise and regionalise like-activities to achieve economies of scale and improve/re-engineer end-to-end processes to achieve world-class standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that the technical delivery of mainframe services meets quality, scope and service level requirements.
- Ensuring that the mainframe support team adhere to policy, standard and procedure
- Ensuring that all changes and other mainframe service requests are fulfilled timely and correctly.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships will all outsourcing service providers and customer IT personnel.
- Participate in crafting and overseeing technical design and configuration from the mainframe infrastructure support team.
- Leading mainframe problem resolution efforts and post-incident reviews.
- Maintaining an understanding of mainframe service offerings, delivery processes and technical capabilities.
- Identifying, documenting and implementing process improvement initiatives.
- Support audit and compliance activities
- Overseeing the day-to-day operational aspects of mainframe service delivery, working with mainframe outsourcing service providers to manage priorities and expectations, review change requests and ensuring technical issues are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction as required.
Requirements
- Degree with 7-10 years of experience in mainframe system programming areas, preferably within an outsourcing or managed services environment.
- Balanced level of understanding and working experience with z/OS operating systems, CICS/ and DB/2 subsystem,
- Experience with MQ messaging service, Storage Services (SAN/Tape Management/Disk Management), Network technologies including VTAM and TCPIP
- Comfortable with day-to-day change, incident and problem management processes
- Experience and proven ability to manage, lead and motivate geographically dispersed technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and direct both operational and project-focused resources.
- Infrastructure project management experience desired.
- Demonstrates superior communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate technology topics within all levels of the IT department
