B-2 A/W/E S/W Quality Engineer 3 Job in Carson, California Us
Perform the role of B-2 A/W/E Mission Planning Program Mission Assurance/Quality Assurance Lead. Also performs QA functions on other CMS OU programs: JMPS Framework, CH-53K JMPS Program, Global Hawk, and BAMS.
The Software Quality Engineer:
Performs peer reviews as inspector and moderator by evaluating software products to design and coding standards for requirements, design, code, unit test, integration test, and release test procedures.
- Audits B-2 suppliers to ensure compliance with processes
- Supports recruiting of QA staff for remote site by reviewing resumes/suggesting candidates for interview
Reviews documents against contract requirements.
Witnesses integration and formal testing and tracks all anomalies to closure.
Participates in program configuration control boards.
Gathers and analyzes quality metric data.
Performs process evaluations against company policies and procedures ensuring the program is operating
at CMMI level 5.
- Travels to San Diego, CA and Oklahoma City, OK to audit/assess suppliers and ensure successful transition of work to Oklahoma City
Basic Qualifications:
-BS/BA in computer science, math, electrical
engineering or computer info science (years of experience may be used in lieu of degree)
Minimum of 5 years experience
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint)
Excellent interpersonal skills
-Very Good communication skills
Adept PC skills (MS office - Word Excel)
c++, VB script, Java or other HOL programming
experience
Experience with software library control tools
software change request systems
Experience on software development programs
performing SQA activities/processes in a DOD/MIL-STD
environment
Experience on programs which utilized SEI CMMI
process areas

Preferred Qualifications:
Six Sigma experience
