BA – EMEA Finance & Regulatory Reporting recruitment
The project team within EMEA IB FBM team (Investment Bank Finance and Business Management) cover a wide variety of Finance and Regulatory initiatives across the European community. Many carry a mandatory caveat which drives a fast paced and productive culture to ensure all obligations are met with the best possible technical solutions and controls to maximise reporting quality and mitigate risks of technical or human error.
A significant part of the team’s efforts over the past three years has been to create a new finance technology platform to generate Liquidity reporting for all 4 of JP Morgan's FSA regulated legal entities. Since going live a pipeline of external rule change is evolving from the FSA and internal new business requirements grow to eliminate 30+ hours of daily manual adjustments. Solutions can be to the core Finance platform and/or source product data.
In addition to this project there are other initiatives to which the candidate will become involved. Namely FSA initiatives such as Recovery and Resiliency and CoRep, and JP Morgan programmes such as Strategic Reengineering migrations, Global Liquidity Risk Infrastructure, and the strategic UK Regulatory Replacement Platform.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Programme Manager, the successful candidate’s primary objectives will be:
- Partnering with UK Reg BAU and Policy teams to convert evolving FSA Liquidity rules into business requirements across multiple product lines and core Finance infrastructure.
- Analysing existing and new issues into fully documented business requirements with UK Reg BAU team.
- Leading and documenting agreed solutioning of those requirements as prerequisite to Functional Specification generation by Line of Business technology teams or Global Finance Technology (or both).
- Create testing approach for each build delivery. Engaging Technology, Corporate Treasury and relevant Operations teams as required.
- Manage and execute testing against expected results and present to UK Reg BAU Manager for final signoff.
- Engage with FSA Liquidity PMO for all planning and scheduling of works plus escalation of issues and progress management.
- Various ad hoc investigations and regression testing for associated initiatives mentioned above.
Key Skills
- Good working knowledge across securities, derivatives, loan and cash products.
- Ability to apply product knowledge into FSA Liquidity guidelines and vice versa.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, partnership and influencing skills.
- Collaborative approach to problem solving across multiple technology and operations teams.
- Experience of the E2E project lifecycle and associated documentation.
- Working knowledge of Quality Center 10 and appreciation of testing environment architecture and purpose (eg ST/SIT/UAT etc).
- Results driven self starter happy to liaise with a wide variety of Tech and Ops teams. Comfortable progressing multiple items concurrently.
- Fast learner of Operational processes and issues.
- Knowledge of the FSA Enhanced Mismatch and Supplementary Reports (FSA 047/048/050/051/052/053/054) preferable.
