BA/Developer recruitment

* Business requirements gathering and analysis for global trade surveillance.

* Gather, compose, and refine requirements documentation in order to drive various development activities.

* Documenting existing/future data and business process flows.

* Impact analysis of changes as related to timelines and deliverables.

* Identifies potential problems and leads problem resolution efforts.

* Interact with various business areas and IT departments.

* Ability to adapt or change to better achieve deliverables and objectives.

* Write SQL queries, as needed, to perform data analysis.

* Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts as required.

* Work with Business and IT users to develop and document functional specifications.

* Assist in developing and implementation of test strategies, plans, scenarios, and cases.

* Facilitate resolution of functional points of contention between business users and IT.

* Provide functional walkthroughs with business users, development, and testing teams.

Qualifications

* Business Analysis experience (3+ yrs) with a leading financial services provider

* Experience in implementing or supporting Actimize and/or Mantas platforms or similar homegrown trade surveillance platforms

* Experience with global trade surveillance rules and procedures

* Experience with equities, fixed income, and derivatives trade flows and attributes

* Data analysis skills – evidence of a lead contribution towards developing the data requirements/architecture in a complex environment specific to orders, trades, positions, reference data and market data

* Evidence of ability to have worked on complex business challenges and pragmatic solutions

* Relevant involvement in package implementations and configuration processes

* Some technology foundational skills (i.e. development and interfacing / integration) a plus

* Experience with working with remote teams and off shore development resources

* Can think and act globally with strong awareness of cross divisional challenges

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills

* Ability to work in a fast paced environment

* Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented

* Technically proficient with Microsoft Office applications

* Understanding of SQL and the ability to write queries for data analysis

* Excellent understanding of the development life cycle (SDLC+ or equivalent)

* Ability to multitask concurrent deliverables

* Investment Banking, Asset Management or Private Banking knowledge is a plus
