Balance Sheet Control recruitment

An international investment bank has a position available for a highly numerate self-motivated individual within the Middle Office Accounting and Control group. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with the daily balance sheet control process for EMEA global market group.

Duties and Responsibilities will include;

· Daily cross business balance sheet reconciliation and control for various subsystems and the General Ledger
· Supporting the control of the business by the preparation and posting of daily adjustments to the General Ledger
· Monthly regulatory reporting for the business
· Associated Ad hoc projects
· Development and improvement of existing work processes
· Proactively resolving queries from Middle Back Office

Qualifications and experience
· Part Qualified or Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or overseas equivalent)
· Prior experience of balance sheet control designing / improving control processes
· Advanced level in MS Excel and Access, knowledge of VBA programming an advantage
· Self Starter and confident communicator
· Being able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
