My client, a leading investment bank, is seeking to appoint a external reporting controller to support its market leading emerging markets special operations group. You will be tasked with driving technical and reporting efficiency coupled with building affective and meaningful capital transactional advisory relationships with the front office. This is a excellent role for a junior/mid level vp looking to develop and expand their career.
The Emerging Markets Balance Sheet Controller position is an extension of a product control role, and will be responsible for:
* Monitoring balance sheet
* Advising on deal-specific accounting
* Overseeing the quality of regulatory reporting disclosures
* Collecting external disclosures
* Consolidating data
* Performing consistency checks and roll forwards
* Completing data quality checklists/analytical review
The successful Emerging Markets Balance Sheet Controller will most likely:
* Be a Qualified Accountant
* Ideally have US GAAP RWA experience
* Be Junior/Mid VP level, in terms of calibre
* Show good understanding of accounting, financial statements, product, and risk
* Have excellent relationship-building skills
