The responsibilities of this position would include:
· Development growth of relationships with both new and existing customers.
· Ensure customer service satisfaction and healthy customer relationships.
· Aggressive sales growth
· Positive enhancement of the Baldor image in the marketplace.
· Effectively manage a customer base consisting of a mix of distributors and OEMs
· Perform quality checks on product and service delivery.
· Generate and qualify leads.
· Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically, and in person.
· Develop and maintain a customer database.
· Prepare sales action plans and schedules.
· Make sales calls to both existing and new customers.
· Develop and effectively present product service solutions to current and potential customers.
· Develop sales proposals.
· Follow up on quotations.
· Negotiate with clients.
· Follow up on sales activity.
· Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management.
· Participate in sales events/trade shows.
· Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development.
· Maintain sales and promotional materials.
Desired Skills Experience
· 4 year degree and/or equivalent, successful experience in technical/industrial field sales.
· Candidate must have the ability to become intimately familiar with the customer’s technical needs, systems, and environment, and develop multi-level relationships within accounts.
· Candidate must be self-motivated, willing to work with minimal supervision and have customer service focused skills.
· Knowledge of relevant computer applications. (Microsoft Office, ability to learn proprietary software applications)
· Knowledge of principles and practices of sales.
· Knowledge of customer service principles.
