Band 3 HCA

Hays Healthcare is recruiting Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to work in the Leeds Community. HCAs play an important part in providing excellent patient care. They carry out tasks such as helping patients to:

• Provide assistance to residents to help them meet both their health and social care needs. This includes washing, toileting, medication, bed making and preparing meals and drinks.
• Enable residents to achieve independence as far as possible in all areas of their life.
• Help residents to identify and choose their support needs.
• Understand the rights of the individual to have their wishes respected.
• Understand how to treat individuals with dignity and respect.
• Understand equal opportunities and supports the equality and diversity of the individual.

They also monitor patients by checking their temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and generally help to make them feel comfortable while in their homes.

The right candidate will be a car driver and have previous experience working in the community as a HCA.
