We are currently recruiting band 5 registered nurses to work in prisons in Durham and the surrounding area. Prisons can be challenging environments so candidates will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to make decisions quickly in emergencies. You must be able to work within a Primary Care team but also have the skills to work autonomously.
Both full and part time shifts are available with the choice of early, late and long day shift patterns. Due to the nature of Prison work, you will be booked up to 4 weeks in advance on shifts that suit you.
To apply you must have:
• Previous prison experience in a cat. A, B or C Prison
• Valid prison clearance/vetting
• Current professional registration with the NMC
• Flexibility and reliability to commit to at least 3 shifts a week
