WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?
- Handles State Farm Bank projects requiring information gathering, analysis, and coordination
- Coordinates project activity and provides expertise for one or more areas of State Farm Bank
- Provides business perspective and represents the strategies and frameworks set by State Farm Bank management
- Works with project teams to define scope of effort/business requirements for development of new initiatives and enhancements
- Represents State Farm Bank on Systems project teams
- Develops, maintains, and supports products, processes, and procedures related to functional area
- Researches, designs, and implements product and program developments and/or enhancements
- Develops and maintains relationships with outside agencies and/or third-party vendors
- Prepares various reports as requested
- Provides operational support and/or training related to assigned functional area
- Provides guidance to State Farm Bank's compliance area on issues related to assigned functional area
WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?
- Participates on project teams
- Develops an understanding of State Farm Bank's structure, systems, products, services, and processes
- Assists with identifying, documenting and evaluating workflows
- Applies knowledge of how state and federal regulations are applied in the State Farm Bank environment

- May require passing additional background checks
- May work irregular hours based on workload and job requirements
- May require travel via commercial transportation and/or driving motor vehicles to various State Farm business locations, seminars, conferences, and/or industry meetings
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- As a member of the Bank Risk Governance and Reporting Team, you will be helping to mature our risk management program. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining and enhancing risk management policies, processes, controls, reports, and tools
- Coordinating, conducting, and presenting special projects and reports
- Monitoring relevant industry trends, tools, and approaches to identify ways to enhance our services and processes
- Coordinating assigned internal services
- Position Specific Requirements:
- A general understanding of enterprise risk management (ERM)
- Willingness and ability to become a recognized risk management expert
- A general understanding of banking, U.S. banking laws, regulations, and products
- 5+ years working in the Financial Services Industry such as in Banking, Capital Market, and/or Insurance
- Bachelor's Degree in a business related field or equivalent experience
- Consulting experience with major consulting company and/or MBA a plus
- Prior risk management experience a plus
- Generic Requirements:
- Ability to work and communicate with individuals at all levels of the Bank
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in clear, concise terms
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new business and risk management concepts
- Ability to use standard office equipment and software (i.e. Microsoft Office) to produce correspondence, reports, and presentations
