WHAT ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?
- Investigates and coordinates State Farm Bank inquiries concerning criminal violations, suspicious incidents, policy violations, external frauds, and employee integrity situations
- Interacts with law enforcement officers
- Coordinates and prepares training material and conducts investigation-related training
WHAT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ARE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION?
- Product and procedure knowledge in assigned area
- Understanding of practices and trends within the banking industry

- Must recognize the need for, and apply, discretion and appropriate security measures when handling confidential and sensitive information
- Job may require travel via commercial transportation and/or driving motor vehicles
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Selected candidate would be responsible for conducting internal and external fraud investigations resulting from known or suspicious activity on or against customers, customer accounts and the investigation of bank compliance violations. Mitigate, prevent and recover funds that are at risk within the bank or left the bank due to the fraud, or suspicious activity. Complete Suspicious Activity Reports as needed, prepare detailed reports of fraud/compliance violations, and following up on restitution for fraud losses.
- Competitive candidate will possess knowledge, skills and abilities involving investigative strategies, methodologies and techniques. These skills may be gained through experience in a law enforcement agency conducting fraud related investigations, special investigative unit, or corporate fraud/audit related unit. Candidate should also possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, fundamental knowledge of general banking and financial services principles, philosophies and operations is desired.
- Entry into this job class may require passing additional background checks. Incumbent must travel as required.
