Bank Network Analyst – AVP / VP – Based in Bournemouth recruitment

Department Description:JPMorgan Network Management is responsible for selection and management of the network of agent banks used by the firm.
In this role, the group covers the purchasing and maintenance of securities services (custody and clearing) and cash services (payments and other foreign currency services) for LOBs firm-wide.
Currently that network spans ~550 agent banks, including sub-custodians, nostro account relationships, and cash agent/partner banks in over 100 markets.
The team works closely with these agents and regulatory authorities in each country to identify market practices, tax rules strategies, and rules associated with foreign investment.

Network Mgmt supports Treasury Securities Services (TS and WSS), the Investment Bank (including Prime Services), as well as other areas of the firm as needed, including Card Services, the Private Bank and the Retail Bank.
The group's key strengths are in depth market knowledge, expertise in buying, and strong project management.

The team provides a global focus for the firm in order to leverage buying power worldwide, developing outsourcing initiatives, and management of the associated risks.
Focused on execution, Network Service Management (NSM) interfaces with over 17 operational areas in the firm managing projects involving agent banks, resolving escalated issues, understanding network and market risks, and providing MIS analysis.
Role Description:Many markets for Global Custody, CCM, IB and Prime Services were opened and set up many years ago.
With recent market changes, regulatory changes and some operating model changes, Network was commissioned to look across the markets to evaluate the account structures in each market - both securities and cash.
This project will cover over 100 markets and is about half complete.

This Network Mgmt role will be responsible for the completion of the project, evaluating the remaining half of the markets.
This means the incumbent will review market profiles, legal opinions, current account listing and the like to determine what the optimal account structure is for each market and how each LOB lines up against it.
While the LOBs are ultimately responsible for the remediation, this role will track the issues and changes that are identified in the evaluation of each market.
This Network Mgmt role project manager may be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of multiple concurrent account structures evaluations which will require a high degree of project management skills, trouble shooting skills, and diplomacy.
In order to undertake the above the incumbent will require an ability to understand complex market practices, a good knowledge of all product functions (trade settlement, asset reconciliation, cash reconciliation, corporate actions, income processing, securities lending, tax and off-shore locations, etc.), knowledge of regulatory restrictions affecting clients/markets, understanding of foreign investment procedures, and an ability to apply these skills when evaluating securities and cash account structures.
As the business initiatives and market dynamics are constantly changing, the incumbent must deal well with shifting priorities and occasional short term pressure.
ResponsibilitiesManaging strategic agent and market related projects of varying size and complexity including, but not limited to: account structure assessments and restructures, sub-custodian RFPs, agent transitions and new market openings*Understanding market practices versus operational requirementsBuilding relationships with internal departments, agent banks and the wider Network groupProduction and analysis of benchmark scorecards and service level assessmentsUnderstanding and engaging operations on both product and market driven changes from a JPMorgan operational perspective
