Job Description 
 

- Work closely with the GAMs to achieve agreed revenue objectives from the portfolio

- Proactive management of designated portfolio of own accounts within GAM Portfolio. 

- Support the GAM in full day to day responsibility for management  of the GAM Porftolio 

- Step up to drive the business, assume responsibility for business continuity, and become the first point of contact for clients, management, FAMs, Credit, Product Partners, and other stakeholders, when the GAM is traveling overseas, on leave, or away. 

- Work closely with the GAM and understand customers, businesses and risks associated with them so as to identify and qualify opportunities to optimally satisfy client needs, manage and avoid undue credit risks, and meet our objectives. 

- Drive deal team coordination of FAMs, Product Partners, other Support Units; coordinate and mobilize resources, and solicit the requisite credit or management approvals and support internally to execute timely and delivery to clients.

- Work with the GAM to highlight and assist in addressing credit risk and compliance related concerns

- Work with the GAM to deliver high standards of general account management discipline

- Exemplify the Group in all undertakings

- Engage, motivate, encourage and guide FAMs and Product Partners to maximise returns on client portfolio.

- Proactively provide FAMs with guidance and all support necessary to develop and win new business, grow and deepen relationships, and coordinate engagement with the client in the network to align with the Group and the objectives and requirements of the GC parent.

- Be an Enabler for the FAMs, product partners, and other colleages across the network to resolve any blockages to originating and winning business -- actively drive the process for obtaining internal support and exception approvals where required from Credit, Legal, Management and others, proactively assist with deal structuring, documentation structuring, service reviews and enhancement, and other measures to enable the network and facilitate deal closure.

- Work closely with WB Legal, External Counsel, Product Partners, ORA/KYC Team, and other relevant support Teams to ensure compliant and robust security and documentation to preserve portfolio quality and protect the Bank's position.

- Lead and prepare the annual Group Mandate review and renewal packages to a high quality and standard for all Client Groups in the designated GAM portfolio, under the GAM's oversight and review.  Drive the process of obtaining timely approval through the credit approval chain for all GAM accounts in designated portfolio, and work with the GAM to further engage Credit, address and resolve any issues challenges or queries raised in the approval process.

- Lead and prepare the BCA review and renewal packages to a high quality and standard for all UK/European allocations for names in the designated GAM portfolio.  Drive the process of obtaining timely approval through the credit approval chain and work with the GAM to further engage Credit, address and resolve any issues challenges or queries raised in the process. 

 Key Roles Responsibilities 


 - Support the GAM in the achievement of agreed revenue objectives and assist with deal origination and deal team participation within the SCB strategy for portfolio accounts.

- Help drive and support deals originated for offshore clients by ensuring sufficient and ready availability of resource for timely allocation from Group credit limits and RWA.

- Proactively support and work closely with the GAM in the management of relationships within the portfolio, including liasing directly with clients, and ensuring that all responses to both to the client and to the network are undertaken in a timely manner.

- Work in partnership with the GAM to maintain portfolio credit quality, instill discipline, adherence to policy and procedures, data integrity, and overall BCA and account management standards.  Ensure that credit applications for new and existing facilities, including renewals, are correctly prepared in accordance with Group standards.

- Help preserve and protect the Bank's interests and position by ensuring adherence to parent support policy and agreed parent support and approval protocols, and by working closely with London Legal and external Counsel to ensure robust and valid security documentation.

- Work in consultation and partnership with London Legal to negotiate, discuss, and agree security and documentation with the client's relevant senior management, and with External Counsel. Work with WB and FM Legal, external Counsel, WB Credit, and CRC Units in London and in the network to achieve valid, and acceptable security documentation, and to obtain formal Legal or Credit exception approvals where necessary.

- To the greatest extent possible, assume the administrative and day to day responsibility for account management within the GAM portfolio in order to offload as much GAM time as possible to focus on more client facing, prospecting, and deal origination activity.

- Maintain the designated portfolio records of all credit exposures / allocations to ensure they are accurate, policy compliant, and remain within the approved Global Mandate.

- In accordance with OCC's strategy, identify, research and develop new and existing relationships with UK and European entities who are capable of generating adequate returns from a wide range of products.

- Develop and regularly review an account relationship plan for each customer/prospective customer; to be agreed with the GAM where appropriate. Actively using Customer Management Process.

- Maintain an active calling programme in conjunction with the GAM for the designated portfolio and product partners on customers / prospective customers to enhance SCB's profile in its chosen customer segment and expand relationships.

- Drive utilisation by following up on closed sales monitoring business and liaising with clients.

- Control and monitor facilities for customers to ensure that risks to the Bank are properly managed in accordance with the relevant sectors' Credit Policy.

- Remain fully up to date with industry trends, changes and legislation in order to understand the risks and opportunities for the Bank and its customers and deliver proactive innovative solutions.

- Actively cross sell the global products and services of SCB Group companies and offices worldwide to the Client Relationship base. 
 

 Qualifications Skills

 
 - German language skills (native speaker level) required.

- Good interpersonal, analytical, sales and marketing skills.

- Ability to work independently, with minimum guidance and supervision

- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

- Ability to interface credibly and confidently with seniors and audiences at all levels in OCC, Credit, Product Partners, support functions such as Legal and Operations, and other stakeholders.

- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and discuss client needs and the Bank's objectives with authority

- Extensive product knowledge, demonstrated through effective cross-selling to clients and relationships

- Technical experience across the Credit and Product spectrum

- Sound knowledge of Financial Markets and Commercial Banking products is essential.

- Solid understanding and knowledge of Credit policy, a sound working knowledge of documentation and the legal framework upon which various types of security, support, and transactional documentation are based  (eg Facilty Agreements, Guarantees, Letters of Comfort/Awareness, ISDAs, Treasury Mandates, Board Resolutions/POAs, various transactional/product documentation)

- Pro-active and solution oriented.  Team-oriented but also able to act with own initiative

- Ability to work in a matrix organisation and manage complexity

- Credit Skills Assessment and  Credit Core Curriculum examinations to be passed within a reasonable period of time.
