POSITION OVERVIEW:
Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), part of MSCI Inc, a global corporate governance company, is immediately seeking a Banking Sales Specialist to represent a suite of market leading solutions to providers of asset servicing. The role will be based in London with a European focus. The position will report to the Head of EMEA sales, also based in London.
Performance is based on the achievement of quarterly sales targets and contribution to the further development of ISS services within the Banking sector, specifically Asset Servicing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve revenue and renewal goals
- Identify and close sales prospects and up sales with existing clients
- Identify alliances and distribution channels, by recommending to management opportunities for partnerships that can drive sales
- Maintain current book of ISS business by establishing relationships with client product managers and decision makers
- Grow ISS’ market name recognition and perception within the Asset Servicing community
- Continuously assess market opportunities, define and update a sales plan for territory and discuss with management
- Ensure detailed sales and renewal reporting and forecasting
- Work closely with ISS Product and Marketing managers to define products, services and marketing plans
- Build and maintain senior relationships amongst existing clients and prospects
- Record all client and prospect contacts and all meeting and telephone activity information into firm’s CRM system
- Share relevant industry and opportunity information across the sales group and with other departments
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Either experience in selling to the asset servicing sector or experience working in the asset servicing industry with a desire to work in a sales role
- In depth knowledge of banking operations, specifically in the area of asset servicing/corporate actions.
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and infrastructure changes in the market
- Excellent presentational skills and inter-personal relationships
- Existing relationships with Asset Servicing providers, a plus
- Innovative, customer oriented thinker able to identify and execute on market opportunities
- A team player but also the ability to work alone
- Highly systematic, organised and prioritised approach to sales effort in territory
- Absolute personal and business integrity
- Native or proficiency in English required. Fluency in other languages is an additional benefit.
