Banks Segment, Client Development & Sales, Executive Director recruitment
The role will focus on executing the Asian and Global sales strategies relating to the banking client segment. This individual will play an important role in maintaining existing relationships with banks in Asia Pacific and developing new customer relationships. The goal is to grow relationships, volume and revenue both in the short and longer term.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maximize individual client relationships within the bank client segment (as measured by opportunity generation and closing, volume, and revenue)
- Understand bank client organizations, strategy, objectives and develop account plans accordingly. Develop org chart, calling plan and sales plan for each organization as part of the account plan. These all should be housed within our CRM tool.
- Develop senior relationships within assigned accounts and identify opportunities to increase the use of products across all asset classes.
- Ability to use CRM tool for planning and logging day-to-day sales activity (e.g. call reports) as well as use for a global communications tool with colleagues
- Work with Sales Analysis Support to identify prospects and prioritize new client targets as appropriate.
- Create relationships and opportunities to present the company’s capabilities; support strategic initiatives such as OTC road shows, educational forums etc.
- Leverage Business Line Management subject matter experts to position products, provide tools and educate
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the cash/OTC and listed derivatives marketplaces to enhance understanding of the company’s strategic positioning as it relates to the particular product complex
- Develop at least a working understanding of all the business lines in order to help facilitate cross product development and enhance cross sell opportunities
- Participate in the development of and accountable for executing the sales strategy – regional, global
- Responsible for account list that represents significant segment revenue, region or clients with complex needs.
- Independently guide decisions that represent and support broad interests of the company’s internal functions when working with clients.
- This position will require that you travel approximately 50% of your time
The successful applicant will ideally have substantial experience in derivatives sales and marketing alongside experience gained from working within the banking Sector. They will also have demonstrable experience executing successful sales/account strategies and plans. Strong customer service skills and a demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization including senior level management are required along with the ability to work cross-functionally and in a global organization; especially in solving client needs. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate success working within bank client segment and possess experience with multiple derivative products including financials and commodities. Native language skills are also very important for this role.
