Basel Analyst recruitment

You will be responsible for providing senior stakeholders with relevant updates on and informing the group of key developments in financial regulatory reform. The team is also responsible for the program management of the most significant implementations including Basel III, OTC Derivatives reform, Resolution Planning, Volcker rule, etc.

Key responsibilities include PMO, Project management activities and participation in industry:

- As PMO for the Basel Steering Committee (SC), key objectives are to provide senior program and project managers with consistent, timely, and accurate management information regarding the suite of projects and workstreams and to ensure proper reporting, process, and control is in place for the program. This includes helping to set the SC agenda, gathering and producing required materials, tracking project status and milestones, identifying and escalating key risks and issues, following-up on actions, writing meeting minutes, and keeping the program manager and co-chairs up to date on program status.

- One of the main responsibilities as lead Analyst is to work with the Basel Program manager to ensure the SC and other major stakeholders are well informed on the evolving regulatory developments as it pertains capital requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Ability and desire to read and interpret various rules texts from regulators, legislators, etc. and determine the practical impact to our business
•  Well developed and proven analytical skills, in particular the ability to process complex, diverse, unstructured information and draw out essential management information
•  Clear conceptual understanding of change projects, ideally backed with practical project management experience
•  Good understanding of project implementations, project structure and phases, and best practice standards and tools (experience delivering projects / programs and as the ‘delivery’ manager)
•  Strong skills in MS Office suite products, especially proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
Familiarity with Basel 2, 2,5, and/or 3 rules; experience working in a risk control function (e.g. credit risk control, market risk control); working knowledge of current developments in financial regulatory reform especially around capital adequacy
Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel; experience with SharePoint is a plus
Bachelors degree; minimum of 2-3 years financial services experience
