BDO Account Manager – Client Services recruitment

Purpose of Position

The purpose of the role is to maintain service quality to Broker Dealer Outsource (BDO) clients by acting as the account manager for nominated clients.  Monitor daily exceptions for settlement activities in all markets with a particular focus on the UK market which represents over 50% of activity; this will include all aspects of the business including Market charges, FX, Stamp and day to day queries. A key part of the role will be to identify settlement problems before they impact on the client and to deal directly with clients/market to resolve. This role requires strong communication skills as you will be liaising both internally, with location and settlements teams, the relationship management team, the controls team and the data management team, and externally, with clients, custodians/registrars and counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

Overall responsibility will be to maintain service quality, specifically:

• First Client Issue escalation level

• Regular face to face Client service reviews

• Capture, ownership and resolution of client issues, including:

• Fails, and Error, management;

• Produce and monitor performance indicators undertake monthly reviews with the client

• On-going service definition against service scope

• Periodic SLA review

• Identify client operational changes

• Work closely with the other BDO operations teams to provide a high quality service to clients

Requirements:

• Operational experience in a high volume brokerage or custodian environment of a major institution in a client facing role.

• Specific knowledge of CREST and the UK market in general

• MS Office skills, specifically Excel

• Minimum of ‘A’ Level qualifications or equivalent (Degree or professional qualifications an advantage e.g. IAQ)
