Is a senior representative for BDS in assigned country. Builds and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients and business influencers in the local market. Promotes awareness of our products, delivers client services and brand equity for BNYM in a growth market. Responsible for meeting business growth targets. Plays a significant role in setting the strategic direction of the business in assigned country and directing the execution of the business development plan in close collaboration with the senior functional business managers. This encompasses all BDS products which include Clearing, Collateral management, and Derivatives Margin Management, and any new BDS products or services that are introduced in the assigned country. Contributes to product development. Directly manages the relationship management team and may and oversee activities of any BDS Service Delivery or other staff in assigned country as may be required. Plays a lead role in the efforts in the extension of locally-designed transaction structures into other markets and also to design the business model to manage these transactions in US and London. Ensures that operational activities are in compliance with established policies and procedures and external regulation. Mitigates risk. In conjunction with direct functional management as may be appropriate, is also responsible for the following: developing, interpreting and implementing company policies and procedures for performing company functions; employee conformance to established practices; ensuring proper training of staff, preparing related reports and audits current procedures for improved efficiency; reviewing and recommending new methods and procedures to make operations in the areas more efficient; leading local employee engagement efforts, implementing the performance management process, and coaching and developing staff. Deep understanding of concepts and procedures within broker dealer servicing industry including collateral management, area of specialization, and the local market place. In depth understanding of how BDS integrates within the sub-functions and basic commercial awareness. Good understanding of BDS systems and their capabilities. Evaluates (often complex) situations and business issues using multiple sources of information and implements solutions. Has significant impact through responsibility for oversight and delivery of end results on complex products with inherent risk, and contribution to planning, finances/budget and formulation of policies. Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders and influencers in the business. As such, is absolutely key to the businesses ability to operate and grow in assigned country. Developed communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence key stakeholders, internal and external senior management, employees, etc.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master's Degree or Professional Qualification. Graduate Business Degree preferred. 12+ years of related work experience including at least 5 yrs in securities servicing/global capital markets/broker dealer services and knowledge of collateral management. 15+ yrs of experience in securities servicing/broker dealer services including at least 3 yrs in collateral management preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communications and organization skills.
