Belt Development Engineer Job in Springdale 72764, Arkansas US
Dayco Products, L.L.C., a division of global MARK IV Automotive, is seeking a Belt Development Engineer for its Springdale, AR technical center.
This is an exempt level position that will work primarily with Poly Rib and CVT belts. The successful candidate is one who can lead with technical expertise over the entire rubber belt product life cycle, including: belt construction design, materials development, testing, production launch and ongoing support for new and existing products.
To be considered for employment, candidates will possess some combination of the following:
- A solid understanding of belt drive products (V belts, Poly Rib belts, CVT belts, etc.) and behavior of OE belt drive applications.
- A bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials, or other relevant discipline (3.0+ GPA).
- Experience in a product development position.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and application testing.
- Core understanding of material behavior and processing methods for rubber and textiles.
- Experience with FMEA, APQP, DVP, DOE, Project Management, Product Costing and 6 Sigma is preferred.
