Benchmarking Analyst to Senior Consultant recruitment
Part of the largest strategy house in the world, this consultancy is a well respected, fast growing, independent advisory company that specialises in providing benchmarking and best practice consulting services to financial institutions. The firm uses benchmarking as a diagnostic tool to identify client improvement opportunities, build the business case and design the strategic operational changes required to achieve it. They typically work with C – level executives from major European banks.
SENIOR CONSULTANT/CONSULTANT
Requirements:
The client is looking for highly motivated, top performers with significant experience within financial services consulting or retail banking. Candidates must have industry knowledge, analytical capabilities and knowledge of retail banking. They should be able to demonstrate relevant line, project and client management experience.
The successful candidate will have excellent commercial, analytical and consulting skills, report writing and project management capabilities, plus a customer service ethos and superb inter-personal skills. Applicants should have a good degree from a top tier university and/or an MBA from a leading business school. Excellent verbal and written English is essential.
Role and responsibilities:
Key responsibilities:
- The design, development, collection and delivery of the benchmarks within one or more practice area
- Line managing a team of analysts with responsibility for recruiting, coaching, developing and improving the team’s individual and collective performance
- Project managing the multi-client, multi-country benchmarking programmes to ensure that they are delivered to time and high quality
- Overseeing and constructing client deliverables to ensure the highest possible quality, including insightful client key findings reports and quantified recommendations
- Managing key client relationships throughout and beyond the benchmarking cycle to ensure maximum satisfaction and relationship development
- Presenting results to clients and disseminating key messages amongst key audiences and stakeholders
- Planning for client workshops, preparing relevant materials, delivering / facilitating and creating the action report or other follow up deliverables
- Developing and managing the development of thought leadership research articles, covering retail banking best practices, industry trends and insights
- Successfully developing new business for the firm in terms of recruiting benchmarking peer groups, developing new markets and / or launching new products
- Providing input to and leading the implementation of key company improvement initiatives, such as development of new products
Key measures include:
- Client satisfaction and renewal rates
- Growth in peer group of benchmarks under the Consultant’s responsibility
- Profitability of benchmarks managed
- Sales made and / or supported
- 360 feedback from team
ANALYST

Analytical and problem solving skills are critical so you must have a numerate degree (economics, statistics, business, engineering, etc.) from a top tier university.
As well as superb analytical capabilities, you must have excellent writing and interpersonal skills. The role will involve working with and meeting our European clients. Therefore, European languages are considered an advantage. Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
All applicants MUST have experinece of data driven projects or direct bechmarking in the FSI. You will also have more than 1 year working within a respected management consulting firm - 'Big 6', Strategy Houses or 'Specialist' Consultancies.
