Job Description

 

As a Benefits Administrator you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

·         Administration of employee health benefits including the processing of enrollments for medical/dental/vision insurance, FBA and 401(k).

·         Open enrollment administration.

·         Set up and maintain benefit files.

·         Assist with new hire benefits orientations.

·         Participate in quarterly 401(k) presentations.

·         Maintain databases and spreadsheets.

·         Respond to Team Members questions and inquiries in a timely manner.

·         Assist with the Wellness Program and Tuition Reimbursement Program.

·         Perform a variety of administrative functions and other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

 

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

·      Enthusiastic team player and strong interpersonal skill and service orientation.

·      Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

·      Minimum 2 years experience in Personnel/Accounting.

·      Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Excel and Word. 

·      Working knowledge of HRIS systems.

·      Detail oriented.

·      ­­­­­Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

 

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

·      Previous experience in Benefits/Personnel.

·      College degree with emphasis in Human Resources.

·      Understanding of HIPAA, COBRA, related laws and reporting requirements.

·      Knowledge of CA Workers’ Compensation and applicable laws.

·      Experience with SAP.
