SUMMARY/GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Corporate HR Department in the administration of the 401k benefit plans.  Provide high-level technical expertise while tracking a multitude of projects that require strong project management skills and strong spreadsheet skills.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES JOB FUNCTIONS:

·         Research, analyze, evaluate, and assist in administration of 401k plans.

·         Assist with reconciliation process for multiple 401(k) plans.

·         Assist with compilation of census and testing information for benefit plans.

·         Assist with annual audits of benefit plans.

·         Research 401(k) issues.

·         Assist with 401k corrective actions as needed.

·         Assist in proper and complete information flow with Corporate Benefits Team, 401k benefit vendors, and payroll department on matters pertaining to benefits.

·         Research 401k eligibility enrollment issues

·         Review and process 401k hardship requests.

·         Other duties as assigned pertaining to departmental needs.

Job Requirements:

MANDATORY:

·         Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or another related field.

·         At least two (2) to five (5) years experience as a Benefits Analyst or in an Accounting role.

·         Working knowledge of accounting principles, including reconciliation processes.

·         Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills.

·         Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.

·         Strong PC, Excel, and database knowledge.

·         Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

·         Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner.

·         Professional demeanor and dress.

 

PREFERRED:

·         Professional certification as a Benefit Analyst or HR Professional.
