Benefits Analyst (Temp)

ProLogis is seeking a Benefits Analyst (Temp Position ) at our global Operations Headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Our office is located near Pena Blvd. and I-70. This position is responsible for administering employee health, welfare and retirement benefit programs. Coordinate with vendors on issues of procedure, policy and funding. Perform research, analysis and recommendations for activities related to the employee benefits program. Primary contact for employee questions and information related to the benefits program.
Position Responsibilities:
- Analyze and make recommendations regarding the solution of complex problems related to the design, development, implementation, and administration of benefit plans.
- Administration of employee benefits programs, including plans such as, health, dental, vision, retirement, life, short- and long-term disability, absence management and employee assistance.
- Inform new employees of benefit programs, policies, and related enrollment deadlines.
- Respond to employee questions and complaints, interface with third-party administrators to resolve claims issues, and provide guidance in policy interpretation and plan documents.
- Consult with supervisors regarding benefits related issues, needs, and services; counsel employees on benefit programs, policies and processes; explain program provisions, procedures, and eligibility requirements; and assists employees with forms and documents.
- Monitor leave of absence programs to ensure legal compliance, review and analyze FMLA/state leave law applications, and make recommendations and develop employer responses.
· Interpret human resources policies and procedures with regard to benefits and paid- and unpaid-time-off options for employees; educates employees and managers on policy and legal compliance regarding leaves of absence.
· Provide technical support and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers in evaluating reasonable accommodation and protected leave requests.
- Plan, participate in, conduct, and evaluate special projects and studies requiring coordination of activities across departmental and functional lines.
- Prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, policies, procedures, and other written materials.
- Plan, organize, and carry out assignments with minimal direction.
- Maintain organized and accurate files and records.
- Coordinate the ProLogis Expatriate Program.
- Process invoices and liaise with vendors.
Essential Skills Experience:
- 2 - 4 years experience in a benefits analyst role within a Human Resources (or equivalent) department; international program experience preferred
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of human resources, benefit analysis, and administration, including the interpretation of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Analyze situations and identify pertinent problems/issues; collect relevant information; evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; confident and able to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Commitment and ownership of job responsibilities; deadline oriented
- Anticipatory thinker – able to understand concepts and processes quickly in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Excellent organization skills and meticulous attention to detail; process oriented
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
- Experience with HR information systems and reporting modules
