Joslin Diabetes Center is an internationally recognized diabetes care, research and education institution affiliated with Harvard Medical School and headquartered in Boston, MA. Joslin is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes and improving the lives of people with diabetes through its cutting edge basic and clinical research, patient care programs for children and adults, and through programs and publications that improve the care of diabetes worldwide.

 

The Benefits and HRIS Representative is responsible for the overall administration and continuous improvement of all Benefit programs and services, including development and implementation of best practices in regards to employees’ benefit services, responding to all frontline benefit questions, HR data entry, and providing support for the benefit programs by processing the necessary paperwork. 

 

S/he will also serve as HR Department super use of Harpers Millenium HRIS system and project manage improvements and all other changes to the HRIS system.  Responsible for HRIS data entry and creating and generating reports in the HRIS and payroll system.   

 

This role will receive strong support from the VP, Human Resources, but there will be wide latitude to recommend and implement improvements in all aspects of the Benefits function.

 

 

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of two-years experience in managing the processing, distribution, and employee communication for all Benefits programs and prior office experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience with HRIS system (Harpers Millenium would be helpful, but not required.)  Demonstrated skill and applicable experience in HRIS to look-up data, support data entry processes and execute basic report writing is required. HRIS for the purpose of entry, maintenance and extraction of all HRIS data for use by others in the HR department.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to hit the ground running.
  • Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail, prioritize workload, perform regular assignments independently, and use good judgment.
  • Strong customer service skills while responding to a wide array of benefit, service or other HR questions from employees at all levels.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills required to clearly and efficiently convey information to wide array of employees in multiple forums on broad range of topics.
